Friends of the Library will have their meeting on Thursday, February 2nd , from
12:00-1:00pm, at the Blue Lake Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend!
Our special guest will be
Amelia Grey (aka Gloria Dale Skinner),
who grew up in a small town in the Florida Panhandle. She has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for over twenty-five years. She has lived in Alabama, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and now lives in Florida.
Amelia has won the coveted Romantic Times award for Love and Laughter. She has also received the prestigious Maggie Award for best historical, and Affaire de Coeur's best American historical award. She has been a finalist for the Golden Heart and the Holt Medallion awards, which are given by Romance Writers of America and numerous other awards. Her books have been sold to many countries in Europe, Russia, and China.

The meal is being catered again by Boar-Deli, and includes a six-inch sub, chips, pickle, drink, and dessert.
The Wausau Branch will be closed until the anticipated date of April 1, 2012. Wausau City Hall has received a grant and is being remodeled. Please share this information.

New officers and board of directors for the 2012 year have been installed:

Kathryn Henders, Merle Jones, Nellie Mitchell, Catherine Nelson, Jane Potter, Leola Porter, and Susan Roberts.
Ruth thanks Lucinda Simonson for her tenure as Friends President. “She worked quietly and tirelessly for the Friends. And, she continues to work as our new treasurer.”
The officers and board will hold their first meeting of the year on Thursday, January 26th, at 4:00 P.M., in the Library Conference Room. All officers and board members are encouraged to be present.
