About our Organization

The purpose of the Friends organization is to provide support for the Washington County Public Library by providing materials and equipment, which would otherwise be unavailable, assisting the library staff in its programs, and making our citizens aware of the important role the public library plays in our community.

Friends of the Washington County Public Library
Welcome Olivia deBelle Byrd !
Friends of the Library will have their first meeting on the year on
Thursday, September 2nd from 12:00-1:00 at the Blue Lake Community Center.
 

We are excited to have local author from Panama City, Olivia deBelle Byrd, share with us her book "Miss Hildreth Wore Brown-Anecdotes of a Southern Belle." With storytelling written in the finest Southern tradition Olivia delves with wit and amusement into the Deep South with all of its unique idiosyncrasies and colloquialisms. This book is guaranteed to provide an afternoon of laugh out loud reading and hilarious enjoyment. Come meet the author and buy an autographed copy of this delightful book.
